Our Vision, Mission, and Impact
Shivshakti Charitable Trust envisions a harmonious society devoid of discrimination and environmental degradation, where human equality reigns supreme, and the rich tapestry of cultural heritage is meticulously preserved and celebrated. Our mission is to champion sustainable development through a holistic and inclusive approach, tackling pressing societal challenges such as substance abuse, consumer rights advocacy, public health crises including AIDS prevention, the eradication of child labor, sanitation, and rural healthcare. We are steadfastly dedicated to advancing education across literary, cultural, scientific, and technical domains, delivering vocational training to empower youth, and establishing welfare initiatives tailored for the elderly, sick, destitute, and disabled, alongside a diverse array of programs responsive to the evolving needs of society.
Our operations span the most underprivileged regions of West Bengal, with a particular focus on areas adjacent to Kolkata, and extend into other economically challenged zones across the state. Beyond West Bengal, our reach encompasses the northeastern states of Jharkhand, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura—regions where communities grapple with the pervasive burden of poverty. At the heart of our efforts lie our target beneficiaries: destitute women, distressed children, older persons, disabled individuals, and students hailing from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, all of whom represent the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society we are committed to uplifting.
In the fiscal year 2023–24, Shivshakti Charitable Trust has achieved a tangible and transformative impact, touching the lives of over 600 individuals through our multifaceted development programs. These initiatives underscore our unwavering commitment to fostering empowerment, dignity, and inclusive growth, thereby elevating the most vulnerable communities toward a brighter, more equitable future.
